Last Wednesday (June 25, 2014), the NIST Cloud Computing Program held a phone call to announce the formation of three new Public Working Groups (PWGs) in Cloud Computing. This message will serve to provide additional details about the new groups.

The three new PWGs will cover – Federated Cloud, Cloud Services and Interoperability and Portability. In order to stay current with these activities, email lists and space on the "Collaborative Cloud Twiki" have also been provided.

1.There are 2 methods to subscribe to the email lists:

Method 1: Public Working Groups - working groups that address specific topics related to NCCP objectives (page available soon)

Method 2: To join a new list (cc_interop, cc_federated, or cc_services), send email to (Ctrl+Click on link):

3.Dates & Times for the first meetings of the Public Working Groups were as follows:

-Interoperability & Portability will meet Thursdays, beginning July 10, 2014, at 12:00noon (EDT)
-Federated Cloud will meet Thursdays beginning July 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. (EDT), and
-Cloud Services will meet Tuesdays beginning July 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. (EDT).
