An attached quick change rack can support a variety of tools and equipment for rapid reconfiguration of the platform. This sequence of photos shows (i) replacing the auger into the tool rack; (j) the auger is in the rack and separated from the platform; (k) the platform is moving over to the digging tool, (l) the auger is in the rack and the digging tool attached to the platform; and (m) the digging tool is about to place a soil sample into the sample box attached to a rover leg.
