Davina Pruitt-Mentle

Davina Pruitt-Mentle serves as the Lead for Academic Engagement of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) at NIST. Prior to joining NICE, she was a senior researcher and policy analyst for Educational Technology Policy, Research and Outreach, served as a principal investigator for the National Cyberwatch Center, and held a faculty position within the College of Education at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has spent more than 20 years conducting research on student and educator cyber awareness and developing programs to help increase the cybersecurity workforce pipeline. She is a life-long equestrian and competes nationally along with her daughter. When not showing horses, she enjoys attending University of Maryland basketball games with her husband so they have an excuse to visit both her kids.

Michael Kaiser

Michael Kaiser is the Executive Director of the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). Mr. Kaiser joined the NCSA  in 2008. As NCSA’s chief executive, Mr. Kaiser engages diverse constituencies—business, government and other nonprofit organizations—in NCSA’s broad public education and outreach efforts to promote a safer, more secure and more trusted Internet. Mr. Kaiser leads NCSA in several major awareness initiatives, including National Cyber Security Awareness Month (October), Data Privacy Day (Jan. 28) and STOP. THINK. CONNECT., the global online safety awareness and education campaign. NCSA builds efforts through public-private partnerships that address cybersecurity and privacy issues for a wide array of target audiences, including individuals, families and the education and business communities. In 2009, Mr. Kaiser was named one of SC Magazine’s information security luminaries.

Timothy Zimmerman

Tim is a computer engineer with the NIST Intelligent Systems Division. His research focuses on cybersecurity for the manufacturing sector, especially its impact on industrial control systems and robotics. In his spare time, Tim likes to design and build his own fighting robots and battle other robots with them at competitions throughout the U.S.
