Barbara Ware is a lead outreach and communications specialist for the MITRE Corporation working alongside NIST staff at its National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. She is a communications and marketing professional with nearly 20 years of experience supporting various companies and non-profits in the healthcare and cybersecurity sectors. Prior to joining MITRE, she was director of communications for the Center for Internet Security, Inc.
Daniel Kifer is a professor of Computer Science at Penn State University. He is working with the U.S. Census Bureau to design the disclosure avoidance system for the 2020 Decennial Census. His work on privacy has won two test-of-time awards and a best paper award, and he is currently serving on the Committee on National Statistics.
Keith Stouffer is a supervisory mechanical engineer and has been at the National Institute of Standards and Technology since 1989, focusing on industrial control system (ICS) and OT cybersecurity since 2000. He leads the Cybersecurity for Operational Technology Systems Team and is the lead author of NIST Special Publication 800-82, Guide to Operational Technology (OT) Security, which provides guidance on how to secure OT while addressing their unique performance, reliability and safety requirements.
Marcus is a 21-year-old student from Frederick Community College. He is currently working towards a degree in Cybersecurity.
Robert is currently an Administrative Assistant with the NIST MEP Extension Services Division (ESD). In addition to his normal duties, he assists the working group service leads with the coordination and running of meetings for the ESD working groups. Robert is a recent addition to the program and graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with focuses in Economics and International Studies. Robert is currently attending the University of Maryland Global Campus, working towards a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity.
