Kathryn Miller has been a publishing services librarian with the NIST Research Library and Museum since 2016. Kathryn's work at NIST includes coordinating the production, dissemination, marketing, bibliographic control and impact assessment activities related to the publishing of the NIST Technical Series Publications. She received her master's in library and information science from the University of Maryland in 2015. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband and her energetic, free-spirited 4-year-old daughter.

John McGuire is the Weights and Measures Coordinator at NIST. He has more than three decades of experience in weights and measures in the state of New Jersey. John has also served in working groups and committees for regional weights and measures associations and the National Conference on Weights and Measures.
Jessy Servi Ortiz is the Managing Director of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council (WSBC), which is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership. As a member-driven organization, the WSBC offers tools and services to educate, assess, and integrate business-based sustainability practices. Jessy’s background includes sustainability program design and management, regenerative agriculture, design systems, and business. She has experience in developing and managing sustainability programs, including strategy, engagement, communication, and collaborating across departments to develop, track, and oversee KPIs.
Jessy is the co-founder and co-chair of the (Wisconsin) Women in Sustainability group, a network of professionals working to advance sustainability across Wisconsin. She also serves as an advisor to the UW Sustainable Management Program through UW Extended Campus and has won honors and awards for her work and leadership. Jessy previously worked as a sustainability manager for Outpost Natural Foods in Milwaukee and earned her MBA in sustainable business management in 2013. She holds several certificates, including Lean Process, Permaculture, and Regenerative Design, and is a certified professional coach.
Mayra Ramirez started her career at Iowa State University in 2014 with Engineering Career Services. She dedicated five years to helping employers and recruiters seek out recent graduates or interns and providing college students with career advice. Prior to joining CIRAS, Mayra served as a program manager for “Science Bound,” a program dedicated to serving underrepresented students who pursue degrees and careers in ASTEM fields.
Samuel Márquez González is a PREP student from Montgomery College in the Nanoscale Spectroscopy Group of the Nanoscale Device Characterization Division. His research in organic electronics explores how trap states impact the measurement of singlet fission in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Some interesting facts about Samuel are that he is proudly Venezuelan, likes to learn about physics, and has an obsession with coffee.
Mark Durkee is Head of Data & Technology at the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI). He leads a portfolio of work including the CDEI's work on the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard, privacy enhancing technologies, and a broader programme of work focused on promoting responsible access to data. He previously led CDEI's independent review into bias in algorithmic decision-making. He has spent over a decade working in a variety of technology strategy, architecture and cyber security roles within the UK government, and previously worked as a software engineer and completed a PhD in Theoretical Physics.
