Lauren Mullen (Fed)

Biologist, Applied Genetics Group

Lauren works as a biologist with the Applied Genetics Group at National Institute of Standards and Technology. She completed her graduate degree at The George Washington University with a Master of Forensic Science in forensic molecular biology. While at NIST so far, Lauren has collaborated on various different projects, which include STR multiplex development, concordance testing with new commercial STR kits and capillary electrophoresis instruments, as well as next generation sequencing (NGS) for variant allele characterization.
