Jack Prothero (Fed)

Mathematical Statistician

Jack Prothero is a mathematical statistician in the Statistical Engineering Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Information Technology Laboratory (ITL).

Jack received his B.S. in mathematics from the College of William & Mary in 2016 and continued on to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for a Ph.D. in Statistics & Operations Research. After defending & graduating in 2021, he joined the Statistical Engineering Division at NIST in August of that year. His current work includes collaborations on standard reference material development, seized-drug forensic analysis, and anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions measurements.

His research interests include data integration, object-oriented data analysis, and spatial data analysis.

When not on the job, Jack enjoys board games, swing dancing, and obsessing over the Eurovision Song Contest.
