Birthdays

Birthdays are a very special occasion in the life of a child and a great sharing opportunity as well. If you would like your child to share a birthday treat with the class on his or her special day, we would be delighted! We encourage nutritious treats such as fruit, muffins, banana bread, etc., in lieu of traditional high sugared cake. Food served to children must be store bought, not prepared at home. This is a licensing and health department regulation. Your involvement for birthday celebrations and other special occasions is more important than the type of food served. We will be happy to distribute birthday party invitations only if every child in the class receives one. Birthday celebrations should be fun for everyone, and you are welcome to plan events at the Center for all children to enjoy.
