Announcing the 2025 NIST OWM “Info Hours” Series

NIST OWM Info Hours

The NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2025 Info Hours series. An Info Hour is a one-hour session that features current weights and measures, legal metrology, or documentary standard relevant topic, while providing a forum for discussion and Q&A. It allows for networking with NIST OWM staff and other subject matter experts (SMEs) in the weights and measures community.

The Info Hour is designed to provide an active and engaging forum for our entire weights and measures and legal metrology community to connect and network, discuss issues, learn from one another, and share knowledge, ideas, and recommendations.

Info Hours will be scheduled for the third Thursday of most months, in 2025, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. There is no registration fee or prerequisites required for attendance. All Info Hours will be recorded, uploaded to our (below) e-Learning Resources and Training webpage, e-Learning Resources and Training Materials and available on demand.

Last year, NIST OWM hosted six (6) Info Hours with over 380 attendees, covering such topic areas as e-commerce regulations, existing scales code, grain moisture measurements to emergent areas related to electric vehicles fueling systems, instrument and device software, and the upcoming digitalization of our NIST Handbooks and other documentary standards. We encourage you to view these recorded Info Hours at your convenience which are posted to our webpage and available “on demand” (Recorded 2024 Info Hours).
