On November 28 -30, 2012, NIST hosted the Forensics@NIST symposium at its Gaithersburg, Maryland campus. The symposium featured three days of presentations and discussions on forensic science topics and ongoing NIST research efforts in the following areas:
- Forensic biology and DNA, firearms and toolmark analysis, and fire research (Day 1);
- Trace analysis and collection (Day 2); and
- Computer forensics, fingerprint and biometrics, and multimedia forensics (Day 3).
Video of all three days of the symposium is now available on the Forensics@NIST 2012 Webcast site. The video segments for each presentation are divided by day to enable viewers to skip to specific topics. The agenda and additional conference information can be found on the Forensics@NIST 2012 event page.
