NICE TRAJECTORIES

This page includes common trajectories for use with 3He Neutron Spin Filters (NSF). These are particularly useful on the PHADES Test Station.

Common Spin Filter Trajectories
TRAJECTORY  FILENAME TRAJECTORY DESCRIPTION
Trans_no_wait.pdf This trajectory measures the transmission of a single NSF without changing the cell state. It produces 1 file per point and puts them in a file group.
Trans_with_wait.pdf This trajectory measures the transmission of a single NSF without changing the cell state. It produces 2 files for each waitPoint. All data is grouped by the designated waitPoint.
PA with wait.pdf This trajectory provides polarization analysis of 2 NSF cells. It produces 5 files: 1 for each cross-section and 1 for a waitPoint. All data is grouped by the designated cross-section plus the waitPoint.
PA with wait single file.pdf This trajectory provides the polarization analysis of 2 NSF cells in a single file. Each cross-section has its own column.
Pol flip with wait.pdf This trajectory measures the transmission of a single NSF. It produces 1 file for each cell state: UP and DOWN. All data is grouped by the designated cell state plus the waitPoint.
Trans_wait_7T.pdf This trajectory measures the transmission of a single NSF without changing the cell state. It produces 2 files for each waitPoint. All data is grouped by the designated waitPoint.
