NIST's Small Business Cybersecurity Community of Interest (COI) has been established to convene the public and private sectors to share business insights, expertise, challenges, and perspectives to guide our work and assist NIST in addressing the cybersecurity needs of the small businesses community.

How can I participate?

Join the NIST Small Business Cybersecurity COI listserv (select “NCCoE Small/Medium Businesses COI” under the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence section) to receive periodic updates on NIST’s small business-related events, resources, and initiatives. There are also four NIST Small Business Cybersecurity Community of Interest meetings planned throughout the year where you can join to hear updates on the program, hear from guest speakers, and participate in discussion. Save-the-date for our upcoming Community of Interest meetings (all 2-3pm ET):

  • October 23, 2025
  • February 18, 2026
  • June 10, 2026
  • September 16, 2026
