Katrice Lippa

Katrice Lippa leads the Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) at NIST. OWM develops a series of NIST handbooks and device test procedures and training for legal metrology inspectors, laboratory metrologists, and weights and measures officials. OWM also ensures state weights and measures standards are traceable to the SI. Since completing her Ph.D. in chemistry in 2001, she has spent her professional metrology career at NIST in a variety of roles as a research chemist, senior scientific advisor, and as the leader of the Organic Chemical Metrology Group.
