NIST Colloquium-NBS:NIST Radio Stations- The Story of an Old Timer

NIST’s John Lowe presents a brief history of one of NIST's (formerly the National Bureau of Standards, or NBS) oldest institutions, the radio stations WWV, WWVH and WWVB. Dr. Lowe began his career at NBS in 1985 and today is the Broadcast Manager for the three radio stations, which are located in Colorado and Hawaii. This special colloquium is presented jointly with the Standards Alumni Association, the 12th in a series that focuses attention on landmark achievements of the NBS/NIST.
