Innovating Standards Education: A Dual-University Model for Replicable Modules in Materials Processing and Machine Design
To develop a systematic and sustainable framework of undergraduate lectures, labs, and project-based learning materials for six course modules from introductory to advanced levels, each aligned with industry-relevant standards. The modules will be integrated across 12 coursesat Georgia Southern University and Mercer University. Final project deliverables will contain openly accessible course materials including slides, lab instructions, project guidelines, assessments, and Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (VR/MR) learning materials, along with faculty training resources, structured replication guides, a project website, a peer-reviewed conference paper, and a final summary paper documenting project outcomes and recommendations for broader adoption.
