Compilation
· Data for building the libraries come from typical proteomic measurements of tryptic peptides
· Data are collected from internal measurements, public repositories and directly from producers
· UniRef100 protein sequences are used when available to make identifications
· Primary identifications of MS/MS spectra are made by multiple sequence search engines
· Consensus spectra are generated from a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 100 replicates
· Consensus spectra with high levels of impurities have been removed through an automated process
· The libraries are produced in ASCII .msp format, NIST binary folders and SpectraST formats

Library Search Sofware

· The full-featured software MS Search 2.0 is fully compatible with peptide libraries
· A batch search program, MSPepSearch, is also available
