Abstract

For analytical accuracy, the detailed interaction of neutrons with the sample is of more importance in prompt-gamma activation analysis (PGAA) with a neutron beam than in conventional activation analysis. Selection of an optimum sample size and shape is discussed. Preparation of standards and blanks for PGAA is outlined.
