Abstract

A GC-MS method is developed for the determination of double bond location in alkenes based on comparative analysis of the mass spectra of corresponding alkanes and their vicinal Dideutero-analogs obtained via online hydrogenation and selective deuteration of alkenes in a specially developed reaction column.
