The NIST STEP physical file parser, and its associated STEP parser, STEPparser, are Public Domain tools for manipulating product models stored in the STEP physical file format. These tools are a part of the NIST PDES Toolkit and are geared particularly toward building STEP translators. This reference manual discusses the internals of the STEP Working Form, including STEPparser. The reader is assumed to be familiar with the design of the Toolkit. In some cases, technical knowledge of the Express Working Form is also required.
