Abstract
This paper offers a discussion of the types of heterogeneity that can occur among processes that share information. The author attempts to establish areas of similarity and difference between the airline, financial and manufacturing industries and the health-care industry. Ways by which information can be shared are discussed, given this heterogeneity, and some recommendations for system design are offered.Citation
