Abstract
These guidelines were prepared by Standards Services of the Standards Coordination Office (SCO), the NIST organization that coordinates the formulation and implementation of the voluntary standards and conformity assessment policies of the federal government. This revision of the November 2005 Guidelines provides background, guidance and resources for NIST staff, and the management that supports these activities, on participating in voluntary standards activities.
