Abstract
NIST performed a series of independent analyses to guide advanced manufacturing research investments. This brief reports on the results from the analysis of advanced roll-to-roll manufacturing sector. The studies find that closing critical gaps in the roll-to-roll technology infrastructure supports the research, development, production and diffusion activities of national laboratories, universities and firms alike and delivers substantial economic benefit to the advanced manufacturing sector.
