Abstract
NIST performed a series of independent analyses to guide advanced manufacturing research investments. This brief reports on the results of the analysis of the advanced robotics and automation sector. The study identifies critical technical needs in the advanced robotics and automation sector. It finds that closing these gaps supports the research, development, production and diffusion activities of national laboratories, universities and firms alike and delivers substantial economic benefit to the advanced manufacturing sector.Citation
