Abstract

Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) includes activities for supporting, planning, and controlling the manufacture of products. Our definition of a CIM system is one that is capable of supporting the total manufacturing effectiveness and resource utilization that enables an enterprise to compete economically.
