(a) The President signed the FY 2006 appropriation (P.L. 109-108) into law on Nov. 22, 2005. The amount for NIST laboratories and for the Construction of Research Facilities appropriation includes $12 million and $126.6 million in congressionally directed projects, respectively. Reflects across-the-board 0.28-percent rescissions (TA -$17,000, NIST -$2.1 million).
(b) The Defense Appropriations Act of FY 2006 (P.L. 109-148) includes a one-percent, government-wide, across-the-board rescission, which reduces TA by $60,000, STRS by $4 million, ATP by $800,000, MEP by $1.1 million, and CRF by $1.8 million. It also reduces MEP unobligated balances by $7 million.
*Funding for the Technology Administration is included within the departmental management salaries and expenses appropriation at an unspecified amount.
