Kristina Rigopoulos (Fed)

Director of Communications, Information Technology Laboratory

Kristina Rigopoulos has her M.A. in Communication and has spent the last 15+ years developing communication methods, models, and practices for federal agencies and Fortune 50 clients. She currently serves as the Communication Director for the Information Technology Lab at NIST and is a subject matter expert on engagement, coordination, and the development of communication materials. She brings a unique perspective to NIST because of her background in crisis communication, public relations, cybersecurity, and scientific research.

Awards

2018 ITL Outstanding Administrator for improving the visibility of ITL’s cybersecurity program to diverse stakeholders through the use of new and innovative communications approaches.
