Dr. Yang Guo (Fed)

Computer Scientist

Dr. Yang Guo joined NIST in 2015, where he currently is a computer scientist with the Computer Security Division (CSD). Prior to joining NIST, he had 15 years of research and development experience in networking industry and worked at several industrial laboratories. He was a member of technical staff at Bell Labs, and a Principal Scientist at Technicolor/Thomson Corporate Research. His research interests span broadly over the distributed systems and networking, with a focus on cybersecurity, software defined networking (SDN), and AI/ML. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers in renowned technical journals and conferences and holds 18 US patents. He also leads the NIST High-performance computing (HPC) Security Working Group (WG).
