Mrs. Leaman serves as the Chief of the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). In her role as Chief, Dana oversees the NVLAP operations, the staff and the accreditation activities of testing and calibration laboratories in the nineteen fields. Prior to her role as Chief, Mrs. Leaman managed accreditation programs with specific management responsibilities for Information Technology Security Testing, Ionizing Radiation Testing and Calibration.
Mrs. Leaman is a member of the NCSL International Board of Directors, currently serving as the President of the Board. She has served on the Board since 2005, serving terms as the Vice President of the Southeastern US, Vice President of the Northeastern US, Vice President of Documentary Standards, Vice President of Special Programs, Executive Secretary and Executive Vice President.
Mrs. Leaman is also active in the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), and the InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC). Dana serves as the Chair of the ILAC Arrangement Committee (ARC) and as a peer evaluator for APAC and IAAC.
Mrs. Leaman has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
