Amanda’s work is focused on improving measurement techniques and expanding technologies that will ultimately promote best practices and high-quality data collection in the metabolomics community. She applies a broad range of untargeted and targeted analytical techniques (NMR, LC-MS, GC-MS) to answer pressing biological questions and to improve measurement harmonization. Her work towards harmonization is implemented by the measurement and development of reference materials and data in complex matrices with applications in clinical health, agriculture production, and aquaculture commerce. Amanda's experience with reference materials includes NIST certification of targeted analyte values traceable to the International System of Units (SI). She is also involved in the development of technically updated quantitative reference methods that support the accuracy of measurements.
