Magnetic Field Safety Program

This suborder provides safety measures and controls to reduce the risk of exposure to magnetic fields above the recommended exposure limits. These measures are used to protect employees who work with and around devices and equipment that may generate magnetic fields, both static and time-varying, with frequencies up to 30 kilohertz (kHz). Equipment that may exceed 2T (20,000 G) at accessible areas, should be inventoried, appropriately labeled, and used only by authorized/trained personnel.
