Construction and Demolition Safety Program
The purpose of this program is to establish requirements and associated roles and responsibilities to protect NIST employees and covered associates who will be performing construction or demolition work.
The requirements of this suborder apply to NIST employees and covered associates responsible for the planning, execution, and management of construction and demolition work performed by NIST staff at worksites owned and operated by NIST.
The requirements of this suborder do not apply to non-R&D contractors who perform construction or demolition work (please see NIST S 7101.28: Non-R&D Contractor Safety Program).
The requirements of this suborder do not apply to work covered by inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance.
