The Chemical Hazard Communication (HazCom) Suborder sets forth required work practices and procedures to ensure that the hazards of all chemicals at or shipped from a NIST workplace are evaluated and communicated to personnel who could be exposed to them under normal conditions of use or in a foreseeable emergency. The suborder serves as NIST’s written hazard communication program and fulfills requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Hazard Communication Standard.
