Abstract
The U.S. standards and conformity assessment system is complex and involves cooperation between the Government and private sector. This CD-ROM provides an overview of the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the U.S. system. It addresses standards, conformity assessment and metrology concepts and lays out the means by which the U.S. system interfaces with the international community.
