Abstract
This document describes the benchmark (March, 1987) implementation of the execution control system (ECS) of the Inspection Workstation (IWS). ECS is a program that runs on all the controllers in the IWS and embodies the design principles of the AMRF, as described in the IWS document Architecture and Principles of the Inspection Workstation. The ECS program includes the network module, which supports local communications among the IWS controllers and global communications between the IWS and the AMRF. The general AMRF network software is discussed in the document, AMRF Network Communication.
