Abstract
A set two pairs of thin-film platinum resistance thermometers (TFPRTs) have been calibrated on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) for the purposes of determining temperatures inside the JILA Sr II Optical Lattice Clock vacuum chamber. The calibration concerns the use of a special test chamber for two high-vacuum immersion probes with two TFPRTs each. The data are presented as a function of temperature, self-heating power, exchange gas / vacuum pressure, and axial gradients. We report the procedures, results, and analysis for these calibrations and estimate the resulting uncertainties for transferring the calibrations and correction equations to the Sr II chamber.
