Access and authentication setup
Access to the SSIS database is restricted to federal government employees. Authentication is managed securely via Login.gov.
Prerequisite: Before logging in, you must have an active Login.gov account linked to your government email address, and your PIV card must be linked to that Login.gov profile.
Quick Setup Instructions
- Verify your email: Ensure your Login.gov account uses your official government email address. If you don’t have an account, create one at Login.gov.
- Link your PIV/CAC: Sign into Login.gov, go to Account > Add PIV/CAC card, and follow the prompts to link your card.
- Sign in:
- Navigate to: https://ssis.nist.gov/
- Accept the user agreement.
- Click “Sign in with your government employee ID” (located below the blue "Submit" button).
- Authenticate using your PIV/CAC card and PIN.
