Build-A-Cell Workshop #16

The Build-A-Cell Workshop #16 will continue Build-A-Cell’s mission to support the open collaboration of researchers in the area of synthetic cells to advance our understanding and capabilities towards realizing a diversity of synthetic cells. The workshop will focus on active information exchange through working groups proposed at the workshop opening and a poster session. This will include both ongoing working groups, along with new working groups, as proposed by workshop participants. Facilities and materials for discussions and shared documents will be provided. The workshop will conclude with Working Groups updates on their progress and plans. Both past participants and first-time participants are welcome; no previous experience in synthetic cell research is expected or required. Holding the workshop at NIST’s Gaithersburg, MD, campus will facilitate discussion with NIST experts in metrology and laboratory automation, as well as laboratory tours.
