2025 - ChemLuminary Award---PoWER Team

The PoWER: Polymer Women Empowerment & Research team was selected for the ChemLuminary Award “Most Unique Project funded by a  Division Innovative Project Grant” for advancing equity and inclusion in polymer science. The project blended research, career storytelling, and networking to empower women and gender minorities through inclusive programming, professional development, and community building.

PoWER team members included: Sara Orski (NIST Material Measurement Laboratory), Symone Alexander (Auburn University), Julia Kalow (Northwestern University), Helen Tran (University of Toronto), Jill Alty (Stony Brook University), and Katie Houston (Eastman).
