AWARD CITATION
Ms. Vanek is recognized for establishing collaborative partnerships across NIST and the Department of Commerce that have greatly reduced organizational roadblocks. Her vision and leadership, and her direct execution of targeted initiatives, have changed how services are thought of and delivered at NIST. Her work has shifted the culture of the entire Management Resources (MR) directorate, dissolving long-standing barriers that have impeded NIST labortories' ability to execute research in a timely and effective manner.
