Abstract
As more and more data from different sensors, either on the same or from different platforms, are used together for studies of changes in the earths atmosphere and surface properties, Department of Defense applications, or for the many other applications, it has become extremely important that those data are consistently calibrated with the same traceability, and differences are clearly understood. This chapter describes important calibration considerations when planning for mission success including (1) Traceability, (2) Verification and Validation, and (2) Calibration across Disciplines
