Bala Muralikrishnan is a mechanical engineer in the Sensor Science Division at NIST. He has been involved in modeling errors in dimensional measurement systems for the past 15 years and has championed the idea of developing documentary standards based on rigorous error model-based sensitivity analysis. He has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
