Lee L. Yu (Fed)

Lee's primary interest is in the research and application of atomic spectroscopy and mass spectrometry techniques in the metrology of life sciences. His current research activities include metallomics, unique approaches to isotope dilution analysis, and fundamental aspects in chemical characterization of engineered nanoparticles.

Lee actively cultivates interagency and international collaborations in the research and development of Standard Reference Materials (SRM). He led the development of a series of ground breaking speciation SRMs for clinical applications. He is the Technical Project Leader of 30 SRMs, and he contributed to the development of more than 75 SRMs. He is active on committees of clinical measurements, and he has been serving as the chair of nonelectrolyte metals review team for the Joint Committee for Traceability in Laboratory Medicine (JCTLM) for more than 10 years. Lee is the author or coauthor of over 40 peer reviewed publications.
