2020 Judson C. French Award

AWARD CITATION

The group is recognized for making law enforcement more effective in identifying child sexual exploitation imagery on computers and other devices.  The National Software Reference Library enables law enforcement to instantly eliminate benign files on confiscated devices.  Without this, finding illegal imagery among the vastly increasing number of images found in software and applications on computers, phones, gaming consoles, and other devices would be prohibitively time-consuming.  Law enforcement is now better positioned to save children and prosecute the creators, sharers, and viewers of the illegal imagery.
