Mr. Gordon is recognized for the development of the Pixel Probe Coordinate Measurement System (PiCMS) which has enabled unprecedented high frequency antenna alignment accuracy, advanced the state-of-the-art in antenna alignment, and advanced laser tracker and spatial metrology. The PiCMS is a tool using a specially developed compact camera system, motion stage, and calibration process that works in conjunction with commercially available laser trackers and allows the laser tracker to make a whole host of new non-contact measurements it could not perform otherwise.
