Dr. Schock is recognized for her tireless dedication to NIST quality in the bioanalytical field of study called omics. She is a founding member of the Metabolomics Association of North America and a member of the Metabolomics Society and the International Grand Challenges Task Force on Metabolomics. She conducted a monthlong workshop on metabolomics data processing for colleagues and students, provided omics data for several SRMs and interlaboratory comparisons, wrote all the technical procedures for her group and is author on five Service Development (SD) projects providing guidance as the metabolomics expert. She has mentored 17 students and guest researchers in the past decade, resulting in high-quality publications (215 citations), student awards, and successful employment.
