AWARD CITATION

Mr. Bock is recognized for outstanding technical leadership and critical technical contributions to a standard systems-modeling language (SysML) for advanced U.S. manufacturing industries. Manufacturers are introducing automation into systems-engineering practices to improve responsiveness and reduce costly errors. SysML is a key enabler for this transition, providing computer representations of complex systems in human-readable form. It is now widely used by U.S. industry to design and manufacture complex engineered systems more quickly and accurately.
