2016 Director's Award for Excellence in Administration

Ms. Combs is recognized for sustained excellence in providing critical administrative functions, enabling technical managers and staff to focus on their metrology mission. She has contributed to administrative excellence across NIST by forming and leading inter-campus working groups, developing NIST-wide resources, establishing best-practices, and training numerous administrative personnel. She has repeatedly assumed additional responsibilities across NIST, serving double-duty to support the PML lab office, calibration services, and the Office of Weights and Measures, and serving as an administrative officer during the establishment of the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology.
