Description

St. Philip’s College Cybersecurity & Information Technology Department will recognize Cybersecurity Awareness Month and Cybersecurity Career Week through a series of student-led cybersecurity education and training sessions designed to build awareness, strengthen practical cyber skills, and introduce participants to current cybersecurity threats and career-relevant practices. Sessions will be held on October 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026, with student presenters leading interactive discussions on AI and deepfake threats, phishing and social engineering, identity and access security, and remote and hybrid work security. Through peer-to-peer learning, students will develop leadership and public-speaking skills while helping the college community learn how to recognize cyber threats and practice safer digital behaviors. The series also highlights the important role cybersecurity professionals play in protecting individuals, organizations, and communities while exposing participants to real-world topics shaping today’s cybersecurity workforce.
