Baldrige Program Seeks Candidates for 2016 Baldrige Executive Fellows Program

Once known only as the creator of the nation's highest award for organizational performance excellence, the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program now offers executive leadership development training that is revolutionizing how leaders themselves use the Baldrige framework and its Criteria to innovate and sustain their organizations—from manufacturing, health care, and education to other business and nonprofit sectors—using a peer-learning model.

The Baldrige Program is seeking qualified candidates for the 2016 Baldrige Executive Fellows Program, which is a one-year, nationally ranked leadership development experience designed to facilitate dialogue on all aspects of leadership and how it relates to a visionary focus, strategy, operational intelligence, engagement, and sustainability.

The Executive Fellows Program is for C-Suite-level executives or accomplished leaders who report to the most senior leader in the organization. The Executive Fellows represent a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, service, small business, education, health care, and nonprofit, including government organizations.

Executive Fellows learn about the Baldrige Excellence Framework, the impact of systems thinking on organizations, and how successful organizations have used the Baldrige framework and its Criteria to achieve their goals. They do this through site visits to and tours of Baldrige-Award-winning organizations, developing long-term relationships with other executives and witnessing excellence in action that they can learn from and potentially adapt for their own organizations.

Within a safe and confidential environment, the Fellows will have a unique opportunity to compare the perspectives of executives across sectors, share honest advice on leadership challenges, and use the insights gained to address a strategic challenge or opportunity within their own organizations. To date, through the learning and sharing within the program, Fellows have innovated supply chains, communications strategies, employee/physician engagement, customer management, best-practice sharing, and balanced scorecards.

This program puts leaders together and uses peer learning to work through the Baldrige framework and its Criteria, enabling organizations to become more effective and profitable.

The application deadline is December 15, 2015. Please feel free to share this announcement with executives who you feel could benefit from their own professional development in a peer-learning environment.
