Baldrige Leaders Recognized Among "Top 25 Women in Health Care"
Modern Healthcare's annual "Top 25 Women in Health Care 2015" list includes three health care leaders whose involvement with the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program suggest the continued impact of the Baldrige framework in U.S. health care today.
The list, released last month, honors two senior leaders of Baldrige Award-winning health care organizations as well as a Baldrige Executive Fellow.
Leaders of Baldrige-Award winning health care organizations voted to the 2015 list are Susan DeVore, president and CEO of Premier Inc. (PDF), recipient of the Baldrige Award in 2006 (when DeVore was the organization's COO); and Nancy Schlichting, CEO of Henry Ford Health System, which received the Baldrige Award in 2011 under her direction.
The list also honors Deborah Bowen, president and CEO of the American College of Healthcare Executives. As a 2012 Baldrige Executive Fellow, Bowen participated in the Baldrige Program's nationally ranked leadership development program for senior leaders, which offers a cross-sector network for peer learning at sessions hosted on the sites of Baldrige Award-winning organizations.
